Wayne Alan Wilkinson, 67, died Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born June 2, 1958, in Akron, OH, he was a son of the late Donald Ray Wilkinson and the late Willa V. Means Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson worked as a crane operator for more than twenty-nine years and was also employed by Pocalla Small Engines for many years. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed NASCAR racing.

Survivors include four sons, Wayne Wilkinson (Amanda), Wade Wilkinson, Christopher Wilkinson (Kala), and Joseph Wilkinson; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Wilkinson; two sisters, Cheryl Good, and Diana Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Green Acres Assembly of God officiated by the Rev. David Sanders. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Wilkinson, Nikolas Wilkinson, Tate Wilkinson, Braden Wilkinson, Cobie Wilkinson, Chandler Browder, Wesley Browder, and Cameron Searles.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Green Acres Assembly of God and other times at the home of Christopher and Kala Wilkinson, 4178 N. Lake Cherryvale Drive, Sumter.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
