Wedro T. Sulay

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Wedro T. Sulay, who left us peacefully on March 13th, 2025, at the age of 73. Wedro was born on September 8th, 1951, in Ilocos Sur, Philippines and lived a life with love, kindness, and compassion. Wedro was a loving husband, nurturing uncle, devoted grand-uncle, caring sibling, and generous friend. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, humor, and strength. Wedro devoted 40 years to the Watsonville Community Hospital, where he served in the Maintenance Engineering Department. He liked to play golf with friends, spend time with his siblings, and host parties for his loved ones. Wedro is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eufemia Yasay Sulay (Mehl), his siblings, Fely Coma, Imelda (Arnold) Sulay Wilson, Maritess (Kevin) Ruby, Ferdinand Sulay, and Eunice (Ignacio) Carrillo. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as an extension of many grandnieces and grandnephews, whom he loved as his own. He was preceded in death by his brother Quirino Jr. There will be a chapel blessing and rosary at Mehl's Colonial Chapel on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 from 10 am to 3 pm. His final resting place will be in the Philippines at his parents' gravesite.
