Weldon Daniel Brast

Weldon Daniel Brast, 88, of Sealy passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Weldon was born in Sealy to parents Gustav and Eliza Brast. He was raised in Sealy and attended Sealy High School. In 1956, Weldon joined the US Army only to find out that his name on his birth certificate was really Walter!! On September 12, 1963, he was joined in marriage to Miss Judy Adell Rosselle with a ceremony held in San Felipe.
Weldon was currently a member of Shepherd's Way Church, former member of Wellspring Church, a charter member of Sealy Assembly of God, and former member of Sealy Pentecostal Church. Weldon retired at least 3 times. He was always busy fixing something...machines, cars, lawnmowers, tractors, pretty much anything mechanical. He played guitar and would sing to us all. Weldon was quite the prankster and enjoyed dressing up with the kids for Halloween. He enjoyed an occasional fishing trip and loved polka music...but his true love was his cars...the faster, the better.
He is survived by his daughters Tammy Brast of Sealy and Kelly Brast (Troy) of Sealy, brother, Gene Brast (Ann) of Nacogdoches, grandchildren Kathryn Ettayebi of Sealy and Kiersten Brast of Durango, CO; great-grandchildren Victoria, Esteban, and Liliana of Sealy and Kimberly of Durango, CO and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
