Irene Reznicek was born Sept. 9, 1935, to Joe P. and Louise Machala Krchnak. She passed into the loving arms of her heavenly Father, surrounded by family, on Sunday morning, February 15, 2026. Irene was a lifelong resident of
Sealy, TX, and a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a Dedicated mother to her four children, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was the oldest of six children, was raised in Sealy, and attended Immaculate Conception School for 8 years and Sealy High School for 4 years. During this time, she was active in C.Y.O., and sports and lettered in volleyball, track, tennis, basketball, and softball. She earned 1st chair in the Sealy High School Band and played tenor saxophone in the dance band.
After graduating, she was joined in marriage to DonEll W. Kramptiz with a ceremony held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Sealy, TX. There were four children born in union DonEll Jr., Kathleen, Mark, and Terri. After the death of DonEll Kramptiz Sr. in 1973, she raised the four children while taking night classes and working as a bookkeeper at Sealy Tractor Co. for 23 years. In 1986, she married Henry Reznicek Sr., until he passed away in 2001.
Irene was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church all her life, where she was baptized, received first communion, was confirmed, and married twice. She was a member of Sealy Catholic Daughters, KJZT for over 87 years, helped with teaching CCD classes for several years, worked in the CCD office, was a Eucharistic minister, and helped with mass at the Colonial Bell Nursing Home. he was in the American Legion Auxiliary for 52 years, a "den mother" for the Cub Scouts and served with the Brownies and Girl Scouts.
Irene had a passion for cooking and baking and was also an avid deer hunter, annually reaching her limit in
Brady, TX. She loved polka music, dancing, and singing in the Polka Choir, Polka Masses, and going on " the Branson Trip".
Irene is survived by her four children DonEll Krampitz Jr. of Sealy, Kathleen Holloman and husband Richard of Sealy, Mark Krampitz and wife Nannette of
Marble Falls, TX, and Terri Resendez of
Houston, TX: grandchildren Candice Holloman, Kaleigh Koehne and Brett Wleczyk, Kalette Alspaugh and husband Jeremy, Kristina Castillo and husband Jonathan, Ashley Resendez, and Lindsey Garcia and husband Robert, and 12 great-grandchildren: Sister Bessy Schroeder of
Katy, TX, brother Joe L. Krchnak of
Fort Pierce, FL, sister-in-law Joyce Krchnak of
Sealy, TX.
She is preceded in death by parents Joe and Louise Krchnak, parent-in-laws Otto and Louise Krampitz, husbands DonEll Krampitz Sr. and Henry Reznicek Sr., brothers Edward, Eugene, and George Krchnak, brother-in-law Wayne Schroeder, Dorothy and Joe Lumis, Louis and Carolyn Zapalac, and sister-in-law Sylvia Krchnak, grandsons Chad Gann and Nicholas Resendez, and nephew Kendall Krchnak.
