Wendell "Bud" Ray Holloway Sr., 70, of Wamego, KS, passed away peacefully in his home on October 9, 2025.
Wendell was born August 25, 1955, in North Kingstown, RI to the late Morris Luther Holloway and Tessie Myrtle (Grovenburgh) Bussart.
Wendell was a man who enjoyed learning new skills and he was the ultimate Jack of All Trades. Throughout his life, he pursued multiple career passions from building houses to driving trucks. He was a devoted family man and a true friend to many.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his four children: Billie Hercules; Wendell "Buddy" (Crystal) Holloway; Gary (Judi) Holloway; and Ethan (Jamie) Holloway; grandchildren Austin, Steven, Dominick, Ryan, Ivy, Kyncaid, Emmett, Tessalyn, and Jaxon; great-grandchildren Sahara and Peter; his beloved brother, Iris Holloway; sisters Wendi Harris, Wanda Tabb, and Toni Stiles; step-siblings: Robert Bussart, Leon Bussart, Jr., and Roger Bussart and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He has reunited in death with his parents, beloved stepfather Leon Bussart, Sr., sister Sheryl Cease, brother Morris "Tip" Holloway, maternal grandparents Norman E. (Lucy) Grovenburgh, and paternal grandparents Luther C. (Zelphia) Holloway.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26, 2025, at the Wamego Senior and Community Center, 501 Ash Street, Wamego, KS. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM with the service and light dinner following. If you wish to bring flowers, they will be a cherished addition to this celebration of life, symbolizing the beauty and joy Wendell brought to us all.
In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be available at the Celebration to assist the family with additional expenses. All are welcome to come as they are, as the family would love to celebrate the memories with everyone who knew Wendell.
