Wendi was born July 31, 1967 in Johnson City, Tennessee; the daughter of Lanny Julian and Sanda (Hill) Julian. In 1979, she moved to Lenexa, Kansas with her family, at the age of 12. She graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, Class of 86. Wendi was united in marriage to William Flaspohler on October 28, 2016. The couple had been Holden residents for the past 18 years. She was an active member of "Shoot Like A Girl," a competitive clay shooting club in Hamilton. Wendi was President of the Women's Altar Society at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Holden for several years. She never met a baby she didn't love and she adored her many fur babies.
Survivor include her loving husband of 18 years, Bill; two sons: Wesley Conrad and Tanner Conrad, both of Lee's Summit, MO; stepdaughter: Grace Flaspohler of Portland, OR; two stepsons: Jeremy Flaspohler (Karley) of Holden, MO and Jason Flaspohler, also of Holden, MO; Mother: Sandy Julian of Daytona Beach, FL; father: Lanny Julian (Donna) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; two sisters: Nikki Greig (John) of Sugar Land, TX and Krista Christy (George) of So. Barrington, IL; half brother: Raymond Greene (Jamie) of Johnson City, TN; half sister: Lynn Hill of Kingsport, TN; Five grandchildren: Cooper, Jessie, Tyler, Kooper and Kamdyn; two great grandchildren: Matthew and Dayton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Winnie and Wesley Hill and paternal grandparents: Audrey and Durward Julian.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22nd at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Fr. Pete Savidge officiating. Interment: will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Holden. Pallbearers will be Tanner Conrad, Jeremy Flaspohler, Jesse Flaspohler, Eddie Greene, Alan Blackman and Sam Thomason.
The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Friday at Williams.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation in care of the funeral home.
