Wendy Ann McConnell, age 63, of Mt. Gilead, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Wendy was born in Anchorage Alaska on January 13, 1962, to the late Thomas William McConnell and Sharon Ann Paterson McConnell. She was a machine operator for Michelin Tires and was a CNA. She loved to garden her vegetables and flowers. Wendy enjoyed going to the beach and loved the water and was on her High School swim team. She was loved and known to many as “tinker”.
Wendy is survived by her daughter Melinda Anne Bothe; mother: Sharon McConnell; grandchildren: Clare, Thomas and Amber; sister Misty Barbour (David); brother: Robert Curtis McConnell (Carolyn); several nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion, Angel. She was preceded in death by her father, Tom McConnell.
