Wendy Wind Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 6, 2026.
Wendy Wind, 59, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on February 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 18, 1966 in St. Croix, Wisconsin to Charlene Wind and the late Leonard Wind. Wendy was a resident of Brickyard for 40 years. She spent two years at Purdue University and was a member of the All American Marching Band, and graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with an associates degree in accounting. Wendy spent nine years employed with Benchmark Employment Agency.

Wendy is survived by her mother, Charlene Wind (New Carlisle, IN); her brothers, Terry (Kimberly) Wind (Charlotte, TN) Stacy (Julie) Wind (New Carlisle, IN); nieces and nephews; and her many friends. She will be missed by a great many.

Wendy had a strong faith and belonged to The Nazarene Church. She enjoyed going to the casino, reading books outside in the sun no matter the temperature, TV shows, and spending time with her friends at Brickyard. Wendy will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, witty ability to tell jokes, sense of humor, and her stubbornness. The family will respect Wendy's wishes that no services be held.

Yesterday

Remembering some firsts of Wendy and I taking the South Shore to Chicago to see Duran Duran and then our graduation road trip to Florida. I will always have fond memories of our many softball years together too. I love you, Kirby Lee.
