Wesley Darwin Eldred

Wesley D Eldred, 39, of Roscommon formerly of Essexville and raised in Montrose, passed away October 26th, 2024, at his family farm.
Wesley was born in Flint on December 28th, 1984. He worked for CN Railroad for 13 years and was a faithful servant of his community serving as a firefighter for 25 years amongst Montrose, Hampton, and Gerrish Townships. In his years of service, Wes never met a stranger, he was a friend to all and loved deeply. Wesley created a large village of family through his hobbies of boating, riding bulls, bailing hay, snowmobiling, ice fishing, drinking "Busch Lattes", caring for his farm, and fighting fire.
Wes met the love of his life, Caitlyn, in 2012 at a Red Wings game. They married in Gladwin on June 14, 2014. They began building their dream farm near Higgins Lake, the place that brought him the most peace.
Left to carry on his memories, are his beloved wife, Caitlyn; parents, Darwin and Rosanne Eldred; in-laws, John and Felice Shenkosky; brother, Jason (Stacey) Eldred; as well as many nieces and nephews, godchildren; and many fire brothers and sisters. Wes also leaves behind his dream farm of 13 cows (including beloved Jeff & Flounder), 4 horses, 5 dogs, and 8 cats.
Meeting him at Heavens gates are his grandparents, Peter and Fancy Dowd and Darwin and Devota (Miller) Eldred; grandpa, Leon Miller; sister-in-law, Erynn Shenkosky; a precious angel baby; and dog-daughter, "Kaia."
Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 11:00-1:00 PM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Those attending are asked to dress in their dress blues or blue jeans & cowboy hat. Following services, a BBQ and gathering will be held at the Eldred home.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in honor of Wesley to Caitlyn Eldred to maintain his farm.
Wessel we will miss you forever. We will never forget there is a pork chop in every beer.
