Wesley Lindstrom, 40, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, died May 12th, 2023. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, on December 28th, 1982, Wes was the third of three children born to Richard N. Lindstrom and the late Nora Lindstrom (née French). He moved to Russell, Kentucky at the age of two. He attended Bellefonte Elementary, McDowell Elementary, and Russell Middle School, before moving to Canton, Ohio, where he attended Hoover High School. Wes moved with his family to Reynoldsburg in 2002, taking classes at Columbus State Community College, and lived there the remainder of his life.
Wes harbored a powerful creative spirit despite a lifelong struggle with mental illness. When he was young, Wes loved drawing and reading, including comic strips and creating novel lettering styles for his illustrations and monogram. Later in his life, Wes enjoyed writing fiction, pumping iron, and exploring religion. Wes also had a passion for a wide range of music. He volunteered as a radio disc jockey, and loved creating song mixes and rebalanced versions of his favorite albums for his siblings. Wes also had a passion for the art of video games, with a special interest in independent and vintage titles, and enjoyed discussing his interests in streaming communities.
Wes is remembered by family and friends as kind and gentle. His personality shone through his wry sense of humor and thoughtful conversation. He loved going out for coffee and making carefully crafted sandwiches at home. Wes will be dearly missed.
Wes's family, Richard, Karl, and Adam Lindstrom, will hold an open memorial for Wes at Cotner Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on a date to be announced.
