Whitney Paul Carlisle, a beacon of light in the world, has passed away at the age of 59. Her life story was one of unwavering dedication to her profession, her loved ones, and her faith.
Born in Atlanta, GA, on September 1st, 1963, Whitney was the daughter of Winston H. (Sonny) Paul and Gail Tippens Paul. She attended primary and middle school in Austell, and then was accepted into Marist School. She went on to obtain a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida State University and a Master's of Medical Science from Emory University.
Whitney's career as a clinical dietician began at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, and was the foundation of her life's work. Her career continued as she joined the Wellstar Health System. Here, she focused on home care becoming the Wellstar Home Care Nutrition Support. Whitney's passion for nutrition and dietetics was palpable, as she spent years helping patients improve their health through her knowledge and expertise. This unwavering commitment and dedication to her profession are a testament to the impact she had on the lives of those she touched and the community.
Whitney was a devout member of the Sam Jones Methodist Church, where she found solace and peace. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she lived it every day with grace and dignity.
Outside of her profession and faith, Whitney found joy in spending time with her family and friends. Her beloved Brittany Spaniel, Jebediah, was a constant companion, and her laughter and light brought joy to all those around her. Whitney's spirit will live on through the countless lives she has touched and the legacy she leaves behind.
Whitney is survived by her brother, Bradley Paul, and sister, Lindsey Powell (Chan), her niece, Hannah Wilson (Taylor), nephews Conner Paul (Izzy) and Harrison Paul, grandnephews, Jack Ellis Wilson and Samuel Choate Wilson.
