Wilbert R. McDonald, 78, of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, in We Care of North Strabane. He was born January 11, 1947, in Chartiers Township, a son of the late George and Margaret Orum McDonald. Wilbert was a veteran having served three years with the US Army from January 1965 until January 1968 with one year served overseas. Mr. McDonald was a construction worker, having worked for several area contractors. Surviving are a son, Wilbert R. McDonald Jr. (Dory) of Ellsworth, KS; a daughter, Tracy Davis (Orville) of Amity; two brothers, George McDonald (the late Shirley) and Albert McDonald (Tammy) both of Muse; four sisters, Clara Bushko (the late Joe) of Muse, Laura Andreolli (the late Rudy) of Washington and Dorothy Workman and Daisy Nocki (the late Albert) both of Canonsburg; a sister in law, Alice McDonald of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to his parents are three brothers, John, Kenneth and Walter McDonald; and a sister, Margaret Peterman. Graveside services with full military rites accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
