Mr. Wilbur Randall Giddens, 84, of Kathleen, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 26, 2025, in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville at 1:00PM. Burial will follow for the family only, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Americus. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00PM until service time.
Mr. Giddens was born September 12, 1940, in Eastman, GA to Julian Monroe and Ina Mae Peacock Giddens. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. Mr. Giddens retired in 1996 from the State of Georgia Department of Administrative Services as a Site Manager, after 34 years of service. During his tenure there he made many friends within his line of work. Mr. Giddens was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Ivey B. Giddens of Kathleen, GA; two sons, Randall C. Giddens and his wife, Mary of Perry, GA and Bryan S. Giddens and his wife, Jackie of Kathleen, GA; two grandchildren, Crystal Marie Rylle (Kevin) and Mya Nicole Giddens; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Shannon M. Giddens and his wife, Carol of Peachtree City, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
