WT Kelly, II, of Granbury, passed away at 3:25 am, Thursday, April 24, 2019 in UTSW Hospital – Dallas after fighting the monster illness of cancer. He was born August 25, 1955 in Weatherford to Wilbur Theryl, Sr. and Sheila Tarvin Kelly. WT graduated from Weatherford High School in 1973, then enlisted in the US Navy where he served for 3 years. He was an oilfield driller-supervisor and later worked for Lockheed Martin. WT was known for being a Jack of all Trades, a gifted singer and songwriter and an all-around happy, fun man that loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, watching the Dallas Cowboys, being outdoors and hunting Indian artifacts.
WT was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Neil, infant daughter, Sheila and by ReNee’, the mother of Neil and Matt.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 35 years, Tamey; three sons, Matt Kelly (Amanda), Ethan Kelly (Naomi) and WT Kelly,III; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his best friend of 45 years, Ken Walker; sisters, Sherry Walker (Ken) and Dawn Harper Kelly (Bianca); brother, Chuck Kelly; three nephews; two nieces; as well as many dear friends and music buddies he knew his whole life. WT is truly loved and will be forever missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
