“Harry” was in my friendship circle of Manchester Central HS graduates, mostly from the classes of 1974-1976. His sweet sister Lizzie was my student at Trinity HS, and through Mike I got to meet his sister Cathy, mom Ruthanne, and dad who lived in Maine. A wonderful family had a wonderful son and friend to me: ALWAYS welcoming, smiling, sharing, celebrating, laughing, supportive! I offer you all continued peace and prayers- his light is forever in my heart -Trish (Devan) Barrett

Mike was an amazing person - he was always positive and had a smile on his face. I got to work many soccer and basketball games with him and learned so much working with him. During my first year officiating Mike would always stay after the games and give me pointers to help me out. He was always looking for that teachable moment during youth games and would often have the attention of all the players, coaches and parents giving a great explanation so they all could understand the rules better. I considered Mike a good friend as well a mentor and someone I looked up to. I´ll miss seeing him on the soccer field and basketball court. My condolences to his family, may he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Harrington family.
Mike was a great Branch Chief for the Air Force CNS/ATM Program Office.
We all enjoyed working for him and his unique style of management!
He was a focused, self-sufficient, low maintenance and humorous leader that shaped the organization to serve the flying community.
An example of his (humorous) style that still makes me laugh is when he dubbed a co-worker and I with the names "Bing & Bing" when he couldn´t immediately recall our names in a Staff meeting. He just casually waved in our direction and said "I´ll just have Bing & Bing take care of that" and from that point on,... those were our names (haha).
He was great and will be missed!
Thought and Prayers-

I’m so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford with Mike in the early 1980’s. He was always smiling and a friend to all. The 79th Tigers squadron was a close group and we shared many good times in England. My deepest sympathy goes out to Cindy, Haley, Faolain and the rest of his family.

My sympathy goes out to Michael's family. I was a fellow referee for both basketball and soccer and did many games with Mike on the court and the field. Mike was always providing guidance to the players in hopes of them improving their skills and game knowledge. He will be missed by all his brother referees and was a blessing to work with such a caring person.

I was shocked to hear this news.
My condolences to the family. Mike and I officiated many, many basketball games over the years; most recently last month. He was a gentleman on the court and a wonderful teacher of the game with the younger kids; well respected by players, partners, coaches, and fans alike. I thank him for his service to our country and will miss sharing his company as a fellow member of the brotherhood of officials.
