Dansville- Wilhelemena T. Potter age 91, passed away late Sunday evening August 17, 2025, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident for a short time.

She was born in Dansville on March 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Arthur and Nina (Ackley) Rawleigh. On February 10, 1951, she married Bill Potter who predeceased her on April 27, 1997. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Louise Scott, Marie Swimline, Leigh Watson, Ethel Roberts, Marian Young, Floyd, Edward, Charles and William Rawleigh.

She was a longtime devoted member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church where she served on the membership and worship committees and was a member of the choir. She was an active member and bingo caller at the Dansville Senior Nutrition Site. She volunteered for many years at the Dansville Community Food pantry and Noyes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Dansville Community Chorus and had sung in many Lions Club Shows.

Wilhelemena is survived by two daughters, Betty (Randy) Smith, Karen Sheasley; two sons William "Butch" Potter and Kevin (Diantha) Potter, twelve grandchildren, sixteen greatgrandchildren two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday from 4-6 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., in Dansville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the Dansville Presbyterian Church. Interment will be next to Bill in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online memories may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Dansville Presbyterian Church, 3 School St. or the Sr. Nutrition Program 5 Chestnut Ave. both of Dansville, NY 14437.
