Mr. Willard Bargo, age 78 of Hinkle, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of Mossie Bargo and the son of Gabe and Axie (Messer) Bargo, born to them on January 20, 1947.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabe and Axie Bargo, one son, Rex Bargo, sisters, Christine Jones, Wilma Smith and Virginia Ann Bargo and brothers, David Bargo, Ledas Bargo and Dallas Bargo.
Willard had been a former Magistrate in Knox County before retiring and was a member of the Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening and was an avid Bee-Keeper.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Mossie Bargo of Hinkle, four children, Tony Bargo of Milan, Michigan, Melissa Moore of Hinkle, Margaret Bargo and special friend, Eric Smith of Hinkle and Crystal Smith and husband Shawn of Bimble, one sister, Ann Bargo of Hinkle, two brothers, Lloyd Bargo and wife Linda of Barbourville and Denver Bargo of Girdler, ten grandchildren, Bridgette Gibson and husband Eric, Richard Moore, Madison Woolum, Austin Woolum, Cassie Smith, Carrie Beth Franklin, Tiffany Eckert (Devin), Brian Bargo, Jacob Bargo and Josh Bargo, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Angela Bargo, Wendy Bargo, Kim Miller Couch, Kevin Bargo and wife Ann, Ricky Bargo, Jeffrey Bargo, Doyle Smith and Noel Jones. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Willard Bargo will be conducted in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Morris, Rev. Ricky Broughton, Rev Roger Liford and Rev. Columbus Hensley officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be, Richard Moore, Eric Gibson, Austin Woolum, Shawn Smith, Eric Smith, Kevin Bargo, Ricky Bargo, Brian Bargo, Jacob Bargo and Joshua Bargo. Honorary Pallbearers are; Dr. West, Dr. Woolum, Barbourville ARH, Bluegrass Care Navigators, and his many friends. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
Mountain Lodge 187 will be conducting Masonic Funeral Rites at 7:30 Monday evening.
