William C. Agnew "Will", 24 of Cotuit, passed away following a motorcycle accident on Friday, September 22, 2023, in Mashpee. Will was the beloved son of Randall C. Agnew and Donna (Capra) Agnew of Cotuit and the loving brother of Victoria Rae (Tori) Agnew, of Mashpee.
Will grew up in Cotuit having attended the Cotuit/Marstons Mills Elementary School. He graduated in 2017 from Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich from the Electrical Program. Will pursued his dream of becoming an Electrician and became a Journeyman in 2019 and a Master Electrician in 2021. Will worked for RCA Electric and Generators alongside his father, mother and sister. He was an incredibly hard worker and dedicated to his work, family and friends.
Will grew up riding motorcycles #127 and was a talented MX competitor starting at the young age of 5 with his first race in 2004. He traveled the states with his father and grandfather Frank, riding at many different tracks and competitions starting with his first "50" and graduating to a "450" by age 16. Will loved riding his bikes and eventually retired his MX bikes for his Harley. Will had a great love for working on his Diesel trucks and Harley and you could always find him on the weekends in the garage working on them.
Will also loved the outdoors. Whether it was riding the trails snowmobiling or mountain riding around Jackman, Maine, fishing his favorite spots at Matagamon and Moose River, to hunting ducks and deer, Will could be found outside enjoying nature.
In addition to his parents and sister, Will was the loving grandson of Frank and Pauline Capra of Centerville, Ruth Agnew of Mashpee, nephew of Guy "Frank" Capra of Marstons Mills, Billy Capra of Sandwich, Julie Johndreau (Joe) of Chadron, NE and Robin Agnew (Peter Boutin) of Santa Rosa, CA. Will leaves his cousins Raechel, Sarah, Hannah, David, Josh, Ben, Emmé, and Liam Capra and Lillian and Alice Johndreau. Will was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Raymond H. Agnew.
Will also leaves behind his black lab Diesel, his best friend Ben Stacy, and countless other friends with whom he enjoyed riding, racing, hunting and fishing.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Homes, 74 Algonquin Avenue, off Route 151, Mashpee from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
