Andrew Joseph Tubbs

Andrew Joseph Tubbs, a proud member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe passed away August 10th, 2025, surrounded by his family and his significant other Kristan DiGaetano at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Andrew was born in Falmouth on August 2nd, 1992, and raised in Mashpee by his loving mother Carmen L. Sterling, and father Bruce J. King. Andrew is survived by his parents, his twin sister Amber Tubbs, his nephew Alonzo Frye, niece Jiana Frye, Aunt DaTanya Rezendes, his uncle's Elzy and Aunt Dawn Martin-Tubbs and Richard Tubbs, Ryan Santos Sr, Cyril Pocknett, and his brothers Jaycee and Ryan Santos, John Lopes, Brian Costa, Eric Whatley and so many cousins and friends who loved and admired him especially the McRae and Fasano family. He is predeceased by his grandmother Christine Rezendes and grandparents Nina and James King as well as his nephew Lorenzo K Frye.

Andrew was the life of the party, enjoyed living in the moment, and was always thinking two steps ahead. His soul was filled with energy, love and laughter; while his contagious smile and laugh brought everyone closer and made our community a better place.

He was a universal sports fan and enjoyed participating in many sports. LeBron James was his idol, not only because of his play on the court, but because of the man he is. He loved to play spades, poker, chess and anything that sparked his competitive nature. Andrew loved music, Drake was the G.O.A.T to him and he'd argue with anybody over it! Andrew loved to learn and expand his knowledge, along with spending time with his cousins, friends, and especially his niece and nephew. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved nature. Andrew loved to eat seafood and alfredo pasta was one of his favorite meals.

Although we were not ready for our time with Andrew to end so soon, he is in a better place and will be watching over and protecting each and every one of us.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte151) Mashpee, MA on Tuesday August 19th, 2025 with services at 12pm. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Old Indian Cemetery 410 Meetinghouse Road Mashpee, MA.
