William Aker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Serenity Funeral Care on Feb. 11, 2025.
William "Billy" Kendall Aker, 64, of Independence, KY, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Covington, KY, on April 19, 1960, he was the son of the late Bill and Julia Aker. A passionate and dedicated man, William spent over 30 years building and operating A & A Remodeling, leaving a legacy of hard work and craftsmanship. He was also a proud alumnus of Northern Kentucky University, where he played baseball and later assisted in coaching the team. His love for the game extended far beyond the field, as he remained an avid baseball fan throughout his life. William enjoyed all sports but had a particular fondness for the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Kentucky Wildcats. Known for his authenticity, loyalty, and heart of gold, William was a true friend to many. He was social, well-liked, and always made others feel valued. A devoted father and grandfather, he cherished his family above all. He especially loved talking about his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy. William's kindness, work ethic, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Zak) Tilford; son, Eric (Annie) Simon; brother, Bob Aker; sister, Vonnie Aker; nieces, Courtney Craig and Heather Craig; nephew, Nick Aker; and his beloved grandchildren: Brycen Schatzman, Adalyn Tilford, Weston Simon, Joshua Tilford, and Molly Simon. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Pee Wee's Place, 2325 Anderson Road, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.
