Bill later transitioned to a career as a business consultant to mid- and small-sized companies nationally and concluded his career working with small businesses in the Melbourne, Florida area.
Following retirement, Bill was a longtime AARP tax return volunteer, supervising a team of volunteer income tax preparers during tax season. He was also a proud volunteer clerk for local elections in Brevard County, Florida.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara; his sister Pamela Allen Wallace (Kenneth); his daughters Karen Allen Nicolaus (Michael) and Stacy Pamela Allen (Paul Lee); and his stepchildren Virginia Bartow, Stephen Bartow (Gretchen), Lisa Langham, and Carol McCauslin (Mitch).
