William Houston "Bill" Aston

Latta - William "Bill" Houston Aston, 67, passed away at his home April 28, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday May 1, 2024 at Latta Baptist Church with Pastor Rob Pierce officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church prior to the service. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta is honored to assist the family.
Bill was born in Dillon, SC, November 2, 1956, the son of the late James Andrew Aston and Betty Jean Player Aston. He was a member of Latta Baptist Church. He graduated Latta Schools and graduated Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was employed by Arbor One for forty years. He spent many years enjoying the shooting sports and was active in the Dillon County Rifle and Gun Club for over forty years serving in many capacities including President. He served as a Youth Shotgun Coach for the Dillon County 4-H for over twenty two years, where he was honored twice with the Glenn Krohn Award for Volunteerism. He also volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader for many years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lisa Sealey Aston; son Player Reese Aston (Alex) of Galivants Ferry; step-son, Gaige Sanderson of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, James Andrew Aston, Jr. (Carol) of Greenville, SC; sister, Elizabeth Manning Aston of Freemont, CA; and grandson, Cullen Reese Aston.
