William D. Banner, lovingly known as Doug, peacefully departed from this world on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, joining his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He leaves behind cherished memories, embraced by his devoted wife, Roseann, and their three adored children: Christopher, Carolyn, and Tracey. His dear brother Pete, beloved granddaughter Braden, and great grandson Luke Ryan also carry his legacy.
Doug was born in Greensboro, NC, and proudly graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill. With an unwavering passion for his craft, he dedicated over 40 years of his life as a revered homebuilder. Among his favorite pastimes were golf, tennis, hunting, and indulging in the joys of reading. As a fervent supporter of Tarheels basketball, he couldn't help but share his infectious enthusiasm.
His contributions extended beyond his personal pursuits. Doug faithfully served at Fellowship Greenville and actively engaged in the Prison Ministry, where his compassionate spirit touched many lives. If you had the privilege of knowing this extraordinary individual, you will surely recall his beloved catchphrase, "{Get Er Done)." True to his nature, he consistently lived by those words, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him.

Doug was a great friend all though my childhood. There are so many memories at so many ages all through even UNC. Gone way too soon! Prayers and Best Wishes to the whole family!
