William “Bill” Lamar Barron, 75, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Bill was born on June 11, 1950, in West Point, Georgia. He graduated from Princess Anne High School in Virginia and went on to attend the University of Houston before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served two years during the Vietnam War.

On January 21, 1978, Bill married Martha (Grahmann) Barron in Highlands, Texas (and considered himself the luckiest man until his last breath). Together they built a beautiful life and family over the next 47 years.

Bill dedicated more than 30 years of his career in sales for Ramtech Building Systems and ran his own tax business, Barron & Lang, for the last 30 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and kindness. He was always the man behind a camera, either subjecting his family to countless posed photos or capturing the hawks that lived in his trees for many years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Martha, and his two children: Brittney (Barron) Tanner (husband Jimmy Tanner) and Drew Barron (wife Laura Barron); and his beloved grandchildren, Jack Barron (12), Elle Tanner (9), and James Tanner (7). He is also survived by his sister, Ann Rollason.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mary Barron and his sister Ellen Marcum.

Bill’s legacy of devotion to family, service to his country, and hard work will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Bill will be cremated at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, TX and a celebration of life will be held in early 2026.
