William A. “Bill” Baumann was born August 1, 1937 and went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 88 years.
Bill, (Sweet William), was born in Detroit, Michigan and joined the United States Air Force at the age of 18. Bill served his country for 21 years. He was a decorated Veteran including both the Bronze Star Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After retirement from the Air Force, Bill worked for Frank Kent Cadillac for many years.
Bill met Betty while stationed in Altus, Oklahoma and they married after three months. They were married for 69 years. Bill and Betty attend Western Hills Church of Christ. Sweet William was loved by all that knew him. He was passionate about his love of the Lord, his bride Betty, family, and serving his country.
Bill is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Pam McGlaun, and Janet Stanley; grandchildren, Kent McGlaun, Mary Ellen Stegall, and Brittainy Fink; and great-grandchildren, Pierce McGlaun, Logan Fink, Ty Fink, and Charlotte Stegall.
Bill will be buried at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
