William T. Beardsley

William T. Beardsley, age 82 of Highland Lakes, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, at his home, with his loving family by his side. Born in Paterson to the late William F. and Mary E. (Cooke) Beardsley, William grew up in Westwood and lived in Ringwood and Pequannock before settling in Highland Lakes twenty-five years ago. William worked as an English teacher for the Ramapo Indian Hills School District for many years. Following his retirement, he owned and operated the William Beardsley Plumbing and Heating Co. He enjoyed tennis, pickleball, and fishing, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his work ethic, sense of humor, and heartfelt notes to friends and family. Predeceased by his parents, William is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Martin) Beardsley; daughter Pamela Mahoney and her husband Scott; stepchildren Jacqueline Stringer and Robert Wentink and his wife Kyna; and nine beloved grandchildren Halle, Carleigh, and Annabelle Mahoney, Colin, Matthew, and Meghan Stringer, and Andrew, Katelyn, and Jonathan Wentink. He is also survived by his sister, Mary MacMillan, and brother, Robert Beardsley. A memorial visitation for William will be held on Friday, November 21st, 2025, from 4-8PM at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462.
