William Berman Obituary

William C. Berman, affectionately known as Bill, was born on August 27, 1943, in Covington, Kentucky, and departed this life peacefully after a lengthy illness on July 12, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky. Bill was a dedicated and hardworking individual who made a significant impact through both his career and the lives he touched.

Bill embarked on his professional journey with ambition, initially owning his own business. His path led him to Las Vegas, where he briefly worked in the casino industry before transitioning into the world of finance as a stockbroker. His commitment to his work was evident, as he strived for excellence and upheld the values of dedication and professionalism throughout his career.

Educationally, Bill attended Dixie High School and graduated from Beechwood High School. He further pursued higher education and earned his MBA from the University of Cincinnati, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning and self-improvement.

Characteristically, Bill was selfless and kind, always prioritizing the needs of others before his own. He was known for his helpful nature and genuine concern for those around him. His compassion and dedication will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

In matters of the heart, Bill shared a special bond with his high school sweetheart, Jackie Berman (nee Corbin). Despite drifting apart over the years, fate brought them back together through email, and their rekindled romance blossomed into a profound love that was undeniably present in their lives. They were each other's first and last love.

Bill had a deep fondness for animals, with a particular affection for his toy poodle, Pierre, who brought him joy and companionship.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Berman (nee Corbin); daughters Angela (Mike) Watson and Shannon (Jeffrey) Brookins; grandchildren Michael (Tiffany) Watson, Kyle (Kayla) Watson, and Jayme Watson; great-grandchildren Mikey Watson, McKinley Watson, Maila Watson, Liam Watson, and Rylee Watson; sisters Rosanne (the late Lee) Houghton, Susan (Bill) Zelonis, and Carolyn (Frank) Michel; brother Greg Hoffrogge; aunt Lois (George) Justice; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Bill was predeceased by his birth father, William Clarence Hoffrogge; his mother, Anna Mae Berman (nee Roberts); his adoptive father, Myer Berman; and his son, William M. Berman.

Bill's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude St. Elizabeth Edgewood Palliative Care, particularly Dr. Sarah Doell, nurse, Nina Barhorst, and chaplain Kelly Albainy-Crosby for their compassion and extraordinary care for Bill and their family.

Visitation for Bill will be held on July 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northern Kentucky, located at 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018.

As we remember Bill, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
