William "Bill" Frank Harmon, age 76, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Bill was born on July 19, 1949 to the late Russell Lee Harmon and Mildred Hawyward Harmon in Batesville, Mississippi. He dedicated nearly three decades to his career as a financial manager, leaving an indelible mark on his profession. A proud alumnus of the University of Mississippi, he received his bachelor’s degree in finance, which laid the foundation for his successful career.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment and dedication to service. He was also a member of the Batesville Presbyterian Church.
Bill was known for his loving personality, often creating unique nicknames for everyone in his family, a testament to his caring nature. His passions extended beyond his work; he was a talented pianist who began playing at an early age of 13 and performed in various bands throughout his life. An avid Ole Miss football fan, he found great joy in cheering on the Rebels. He was also known for his penchant for fixing things and engaging in various projects, always finding a way to keep busy.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife, Bea Harmon, of Batesville, MS, and three children: Heather Harmon Ales of Sardis, MS, Russ Harmon of Batesville, MS, and Michael Harmon of Batesville, MS. He cherished his role as a grandfather to four grandchildren: Jordan Pullen Clark, Luke Harmon, Brandon Reid Ales, and Makinley Jade Harmon.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his two siblings, Mary Frances Woods and Hayward Lee Harmon.
In remembering Bill Harmon, we celebrate a man who was not only dedicated to his family and career but also brought joy to many through his music and warm spirit. His legacy will continue to resonate through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
