William D. “Bill” Huck, age 89, passed away at his home under hospice care on Wednesday, April 10, with his family at his side. Bill was born July 21, 1934 in Berlin, WI, the son of Elsmer and Emma Hass Huck. Bill was a 1952 graduate of Berlin High School. He united in marriage to Shirley Schmidt on July 1, 1961 at Grace Lutheran Church in Berlin.

Bill retired in 1996 from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 400 labor union in Kaukauna, WI. He took great pride in working on the new construction of many of the Power plants in Wisconsin.

Bill was a long-time resident of Silver Lake in Wautoma. Bill was a member the Silvercryst water ski team in the late ‘50s, before purchasing their home on the lake in 1961. Bill and Shirley enjoyed traveling to many of the “warm weather” destinations around the world. In his later years Bill enjoyed traveling to truck shows around the mid-west with his 1969 International Pickup. He was a member of the American Welding Society and the American Truck Historical Society.

Bill is survived by his wife: Shirley; son: Bob (Dawn); grandson: Nate (Abby) and great-granddaughter: Ashlyn; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Elsmer Jr and Robert; and sisters: Freida and Trudy.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial on Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Horicon. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9AM until the time of services at 11AM.
