Mr. William “Bill” Glenn Jackson, age 71 of Martin, Tennessee, formerly of Troy, passed away from this life on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at home. Funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be conducted on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 3:30PM at the Gardner Church of Christ in Martin, Tennessee with Jason Roberts and Sidney White officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastside Cemetery in Martin.

Bill Jackson, as he was known by many, was born May 10, 1953, in Union City, TN, the son of the late Glenn and Sallie Mai Carter Jackson. Bill graduated from Obion County Central High School in 1971. He became a sergeant of the TN National Guard for six years. He retired from Goodyear Rubber & Tire after 30 years of service and as a health examiner for initiating insurance after 20 years.

Bill was a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and eligible for Sons of the American Revolution. He was also an endowment member of the NRA and an active member of Gardner Church of Christ. Bill loved tinkering with toy tractors (International Harvester and John Deere). They reflected his passion for craftsmanship and nostalgia for simpler times. He was raised on the values of hard work, resilience, and perseverance. On February 14, 2003, Bill married the love of his life, Brenda Clark, where they shared a beautiful 22 years of love, partnership, and family.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Jackson; two daughters, Miranda McAdoo (Evan) of Smyrna and Lyndsey Scott (Josh) of Clarksville; one son, Jeremy Clark (Dacota) of Casa Grande, AZ; six grandchildren, Jackson McAdoo and Tucker McAdoo of Smyrna, Aubree Clark and Mason Clark of Arizona; and Neyland Scott and Mailynn Scott of Clarksville; and his beloved fur baby, a fat yellow tabby cat named Gilbert.

The pallbearers will be Gene Robertson, Jimmy Gwatney, Mike McKenzie, Ricky Edwards, Josh Scott, Jeremy Clark, and Tracie Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Winston, Russ Edwards, Phillip Gallimore, Tim Forrester, and Evan McAdoo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Bible Teaching Ministry through the Gardner Church of Christ.

Visitation with family and friends will begin Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12:30PM until the time of service at the Gardner Church of Christ. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. William “Bill” Glenn Jackson.
