William "Bill" Linck Obituary

William "Little Bill" Carl Linck, a cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 4, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on January 29, 1955, in New Albany, Indiana, Bill's life was marked by his deep commitment to both his career and family.

Bill dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to the Department of Energy as a Nuclear Engineer, where his expertise and passion contributed significantly to his field. A proud graduate of New Albany High School in 1973, he went on to further his education with a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, embodying the values of hard work and dedication that he would carry throughout his life.

While Bill found great fulfillment in his career, it was his family that brought him the utmost joy. The proudest moments of his life were spent with those he loved most. He is survived by his beloved son, Scott (Megan) Linck, and daughter, Amanda Linck. Bill's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Emerson and Phoebe, who were the lights of his life. He also leaves behind his mother, Patricia Linck, sisters Val Summers and Carol Zurschmiede, as well as his aunt and uncle, Sue and Bob Sturgeon. In addition, he is remembered fondly by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

Bill's passions extended beyond his profession; he enjoyed reading, watching movies and sports, playing cards, and playing practical jokes on just about everyone he knew. He was known to cherish the simple pleasures of life, as well as his loyalty and generosity. His lighthearted and cheerful presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his father, William "Big Bill" George Linck.

As we remember Bill, let us honor his love for family and friends, his dedication to his work, and his zest for life that inspired those around him.
