William (Bill) Manley Vinson Jr, 68, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on October 20, 2023 after a courageous battle fighting Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, in October of 1954, to proud parents Lucille and William Vinson.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille (Vinson) Brown and father William Vinson. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cathy Vinson; his three children, William (Bill) Vinson III (Casey), Jessica Bagby (Corey) and Catherine Vinson; grandsons, Hayes and Peyton Bagby; along with many other living relatives and friends.
Bill was a proud Veteran of The United States Army, had a great sense of humor, loved Alabama football, music, golfing and cooking for his family. Bill’s family was everything to him- with a loving smile his last words were “I love my family” - such a devoted husband, father, and granddaddy! He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
A private family graveside service honoring him will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 3:30 PM at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming. Ingram Funeral Home is handling the arrangements and Tom Erdmanczyk will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in Bill’s honor.
