Funeral services for Mr. William "Billy" LeGros, 94, of Jennings will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery Garden of Angels under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mr. LeGros will begin on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at. 6:00 p.m. It will resume on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. LeGros was born on September 18, 1930, in Jennings to William "Willie" and Eliza Courts LeGros. After his high school graduation, he served in the United States Army and was discharged with honors. He married Daisy Landry who was the love of his life. Together they raised five children, Beverly, Gretta, Pat, Glenn and Wade. He enjoyed the bounty of Louisiana life while hunting and fishing and the beauty that surrounded him when he sat under the old oak trees at his home. Family time was always full of laughter, great food and lots of storytelling.
Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Beverly Ragland, of Jennings and Gretta Preston of Moss Bluff; two sons, Glenn (Derek Bisig) LeGros of Iota, Wade (Angela) LeGros of Hayes; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daisy; his parents; son, Charles Patrick LeGros; brothers, Otis and Perry LeGros; and sisters, Vivian Duhon, Marie Bryant, and Juanita Taylor.
