Funeral services for Robert "Bobby" Leroy Marcantel, 73, lifelong resident of Elton, will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan Temple officiating. He will be laid to rest in China Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mr. Marcantel will begin on Tuesday evening, September 2, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. It will resume on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the 10:00 a.m. service.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Cade Marcantel, David Landry, Dwayne Landry, Ric Linscomb, David Linscomb, and Adam Fruge. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Trahan, Bert Cart, and Joe Bruchhaus.
Mr. Marcantel was born in Jennings on June 21, 1952 to parents; Isaac Leroy and Bertha Marie Bruchhaus Marcantel. He passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025 in his home.
He spent many years alongside his father and brother as a rice and soybean farmer. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, listening to Gaither music, and visiting with family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 46 years, Catherine "Cathy" Landry Marcantel of Elton; daughter, Kaylyn Marcantel (Jared) Trahan; son, Isaac Cade (Candice) Marcantel; two grandchildren, Amelia "Millie" Nicole and Addison "Addie" Ruth Marcantel; and one sister, Virginia "Tillie" Marcantel Linscomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Isaac Marcantel.
