Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Mae Holden Marcantel will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church, with Reverends Scott Benoit and Terry Bushnell officiating. Interment will follow in Green Oak Cemetery, Kinder, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mrs. Marcantel, 82, of Kinder, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Allen Parish Community Healthcare, Kinder, LA.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She deeply loved her church and cherished every opportunity to worship her Lord. Eva was a caretaker to anyone in need, especially her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marcantel; one son, Dewayne Marcantel; her parents, Leonard and Floyce Holden; one brother, Eursel Holden; and three sisters, Gladys Carrway, JoAnna Chaffin, and Linnie Johnson.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, David Marcantel (Tammy) of Kinder; two daughters, Regina Hebert (Anthony) of Oberlin, and Debbie Johnson (Jeffery) of Iowa; one daughter-in-law, Janice Marcantel of Oakdale; four grandsons, Josh Courville, Kale Marcantel, James Courville (Kassidy), and Christopher Marcantel; three granddaughters, Jennifer Daigle (Corey), Ashley Matt (Joseph), and Olivia Grey (Devan); and nine great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held at Indian Village United Pentecostal Church on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
