With heavy hearts we announce the death of William “Bill” Brockmeier, devoted husband and wonderful father. Bill died peacefully in his home on October 16, 2024.

He was born on November 17, 1939 to Alice (Huffman) and Karl Brockmeier. He was a graduate of Marietta High School and an employee of DuPont for more than 30 years. In his younger years he served as a volunteer fireman for the Oak Grove Fire Dept. They spent early retirement years traveling in Texas and Florida. They also enjoyed 20 years of western square dancing.

Bill is survived and missed by his wife of 66 years, Kaye, daughters Cindy of Westville, Indiana, and Cheryl (Kenneth) Wilson of Westerville, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Lance, Kris, Paige, and Ryan, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Watson.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Sasha and Danielle and the staff of Amedisys Hospice, our friends/neighbors Doyle and Rick, and all of our friends and family for their thoughts and prayers.
