William Dale "Billy" Bryan, 64, of Pampa, Texas, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at his home. Born in Littlefield, Texas, on June 14, 1960, to David and Janet Bryan, Billy grew up in Pampa, where he attended school.
Billy met Glenda on the "drag" and quickly became enamored, often driving by her house on his motorcycle. Their romance blossomed, and they married on July 4, 1980, in Pampa. Billy dedicated 25 years to working at Celanese before joining National Oilwell Varco. Eventually, he discovered his true passion for farming, which he pursued for 15 years until his health no longer permitted.
An outdoorsman at heart, Billy loved fishing, riding his Harley, tending to his yard, and simply sitting outside watching passersby. He was also an avid fan of space movies and sports, particularly baseball, which he enjoyed playing and watching. However, his absolute favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Billy was known for his ornery and stubborn nature, always right to the point that even if he was wrong, he was right. A true jokester, he delighted in making others laugh and cherished the joy he brought to their lives. He was a devoted family man, playing a significant role in raising numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and even strays along the way. His generosity and love will never be forgotten.
Billy was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife, Glenda Bryan; his parents, David and Janet Bryan; and his siblings, Larry Bryan, David Bryan, Adam Mullenax, Sherry Spangler, and Olivia Pearl Bryan.
His love for laughter and family will be carried on by his children, Jeremy Bryan and wife Jennifer, Christy Bryan, all of Pampa; his sister, Karen Bartles of Shenandoah, IA; his four grandchildren, Logan Holtman, Wynter McCarthy, Cyrus McCarthy, Aryanna McCarthy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will all miss him dearly.
For any wishing to make a donation in Billy's memory, the family has suggested they be made to the American Lung Association, PO Box 653067, Dallas, TX 76265.
To honor Billy's love for the warm, sunny outdoors, a Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on his birthday, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at The Carpenters Church with Brother Jim Sinyard officiating. The family has entrusted Winegeart Funeral Home with the cremation care of their loved one.
