William R. Cain, Jr., 60, of Hartford, IL, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.
He was born December 30, 1964, in Alton, the son of William R. Cain, Sr. and Joyce C. (Arnold) Cain.
He is survived by one sister, Rhonda Cain of Palmyra; two nieces, Samantha Cain and Kimberly Emery; several great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tammy Oathout-Cain.
Bill was a mechanic at National Maintenance and Repair in Hartford for over 20 years. He loved drag racing, hunting, and especially enjoyed time with his family and his beloved pup, Sheba. He loved cars, his favorite being Mopars. Bill was a very caring, loving and giving person and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
A graveside service will be held 1:00pm Friday, November 21, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra. There will be no visitation. The Neece Funeral Home in Waverly is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent online at airsman-hires.com.
