William "Bill" Dale Campbell passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Bill was born on July 12, 1932, in Indianola, Iowa, the son of Wendell and Louise (Rawson) Campbell. He was the eldest of seven children. After graduating from Hartford High School in 1950, he worked for two years before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served honorably for four years.

In May 1956, Bill joined his parents in farming on the Westlake Farm north of Huntsville, Missouri. In 1957, he was united in marriage to Kay Allen Duncan in Thomas Hill, Missouri. Following his father's passing in 1972, Bill, along with his wife and sons, continued the farming operation. The family remained in partnership with the Westlake family until 2011 and continued to rent the farm until 2021.

Bill was an active member of his community, serving on the boards of the NFO, MFA, ASCS, Chariton Valley Telephone, and MFA Oil. He had a deep passion for farming and enjoyed nothing more than discussing agriculture and attending cattle sales with his sale barn buddies.

He is survived by his two sons, Tom Campbell (Phyllis) of Clifton Hill, MO, and Mike Campbell (Joni) of Holiday Acres, MO; grandchildren, Tommy Campbell Jr. (Nicole) of Columbia, MO, Glen Campbell of Columbia, MO, Cody Campbell (Ellen) of Salisbury, MO, Austin Campbell of Huntsville, MO, Lacey (Chris) Campbell of Madison, WI, and Becky Olatunja of Rogers, AR; and nine beloved great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Colin, Ryan, Dillon, Sullivan, Liam, Jaden, Xander, and Porter, brothers Richard Lee (Catherine) Campbell, John (Donna) Campbell, and sister Bonnie Louise Durk. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kay; his brother, Gary Campbell; sisters, Marilyn Patterson and Patricia McGuire; brother-in-law, Ed Patterson; parents-in-law, Porter and Martha Duncan; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Johnson and her husband A.C.; and brother-in-law, Floyd Durk.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11 am, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson Cemetery.
