Howard Scott, 91, of Moberly, MO, died Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Valley View Nursing Home in Moberly, MO. Howard was born March 27, 1934, in Jacksonville, MO the son of Alfred and Ruby (White) Scott. He married Charlotte Ann Winkler on November 18, 1954, in Moberly, MO, and she preceded him in death on February 22, 2019.
Howard was an autobody repairman. He worked for the Moberly Correction Center first in the autobody shop and later in maintenance. He was a member of the Jacksonville Christian Church. Howard served as Mayor of Jacksonville for several years. As a young man he drove race cars, and he enjoyed deer hunting.
Howard is survived by his son Steve Scott of Jacksonville, MO, grandchildren Jason(Christa) Riley, Josh Woods, Kyle (Cristina) Scott, great grandchildren Makayla (Vincent) John, Kaytlin Hart, Kaleb Riley, Karadyn Riley, Raylen Scott, Wesley Scott, Zoe Scott, bother Billy Scott of Mesa, AZ, Donna Atkins of Macon, MO, Linda (Ernie) Dorser of Jefferson City, MO, Bonny Vanderhoff of Olathe, KS, brother-in-law Charles (Glenda) Winkler of Moberly, MO several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Charlotte, and daughter Sharon Sagaser, sister Edna Bean.
Cremation services entrusted to Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Memorial graveside service will be Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Huntsville City Cemetery.
