DANVERS - William "Bill" Chambers, age 90, of Danvers, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Medford, MA and raised in Belmont by his parents, Mary & Cornelius Chambers.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Dorothy (McCue) Chambers. He was a cherished father to Bill Chambers and his wife Barbara of Weymouth, Kathy Chambers of Reading, and Maureen Pienta and her husband Lenny of Danvers. He was a proud grandfather to Brian, John, and Ally. He leaves behind his loving sisters-in-law Eleanor Page and Mary McCue, SND and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Kathy Keohane, and brothers-in-law Joseph Keohane and Richard Page.

Bill graduated from Belmont High School, Suffolk University, and Salem State University (M.Ed.) and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He dedicated his career to education and coaching, inspiring generations of students in the Hamilton-Wenham and Amesbury school systems. He was deeply involved in the Danvers Little League program, where he was affectionately known as "Coach" by the many young athletes whose lives he touched.

Bill was especially proud of being honored by the Hamilton-Wenham Athletic Hall of Fame, recognizing his role as a coach of the 1967 undefeated football team. In retirement, he continued sharing his love of sports by teaching golf at both Mount Hood and Beverly Golf & Tennis. He remained an avid fan of Boston sports, especially the Celtics-and was always on the sidelines cheering at his children's and grandchildren's athletic events, offering support and encouragement with pride.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, uncle, and a great friend to many. He will be deeply missed and will live in our hearts forever.
