Kevin P. Whittemore

Kevin P. Whittemore, after a brief illness, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Kevin was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Charles R. Whittemore Sr. and Margaret V. Hutchinson. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Kathy Hockman. He is survived by his brother Charles and nieces Cheryl Jacobs and Kelli Stirling and nephews Scott Hockman and Patrick Whittemore and 12 grand nieces and grand nephews. Kevin was also survived by his brother-in-law Earl Hockman and his dear friend Bob Jacobs. Kevin found pleasure in his weekly visits with his cousin Bobby Gabriele and his calls with Janna Fouladpour.

Kevin was a friend to everyone he met and always had a kind word for all. Kevin graduated from St, Mary's High School in Brookline, Massachusetts and Suffolk University. He retired from Verizon (New England Telephone Co) after many years of service.

Kevin spent many summers at Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine and referred to it as his "happy place." He dedicated many years to serving as President of the South Weymouth Pop Warner League, where he mentored young athletes and shaped a strong sense of teamwork and community. Kevin was a proud resident of Leisure Woods in Rockland, Massachusetts where he was often found driving the community's bus with his trademark wit and charm.

A memorial service will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St, Rockland, Massachusetts on Tuesday, November 25th from 4-7pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers his family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice or perform an act of kindness as you may choose.
