Fonda R. Whittemore

Fonda R. (Blake) Whittemore, 84, of Morrisville VT passed away at McClure Miller Respite House on September 30th 2025. She was born in Morrisville on September 29th 1941 and remained a resident there the duration of her life. June 25th 1960 Fonda married Dean Whittemore and they spent 65 years together raising four children.
Family, friends and Faith were very important to Fonda. She was an active member of Sterling Valley Home Dem while her children were young. Later on, she became more active in church becoming a deaconess and participated in the Women's Home Foreign Mission group. She loved being in the community socializing with everyone by working at Ben Franklin's and McDonalds. She was a wonderful cook and baker well known for her pies and peanut butter fudge while seldom using a recipe, often sharing through numerous bake sales.
Fonda is survived by her husband, Dean Whittemore Sr., 3 oldest children Dean Jr (Brenda), Carol (Bill) and Allen (Fawn), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and one sister Mary Baker.
She was predeceased by her youngest son, Lynwood and 2 grandchildren, Jessica Jean and Daniel Dean, and 8 siblings.
There will be a private family graveside service.
