William "Bill" Ferguson Chapman, age 76, of Cartersville, GA, sadly passed away at his home following a brief illness on November 10, 2023.
Bill was born on September 9, 1947, in Rome, GA, to the late Joseph Avery Chapman Sr. and Lillian Crowe Chapman. He is also preceded in death by his three brothers, Ronald Evans, George Evans, and Avery Chapman Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Ellen Chapman; his children, Andrea "Andie" Chapman Millsap (Carey), Billy Korsack (Katie), Ann Laughhunn (Brian), Stephanie Chapman Searfoss (Jimbo), and Miles Chapman (Charlotte); his grandchildren, Carla Millsap Davis (Jamey), Tyler Korsack, Elizabeth Millsap, Rio Chapman, Seth Laughhunn, Olivia Millsap, Cole Laughhunn, Ethan Searfoss, Lillian Chapman, and Ezekiel Chapman; his life long best friend, Harold "Frog" Kirkland; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Bill really enjoyed working with his hands and he loved building and riding trikes. He had a magnetic personality and to know him was to love him. He is very loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Bill's family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Creekside Fellowship Church. The address is 585 Old Alabama Rd. SE Cartersville, GA 30120.

I looked up to him growing up in the 60's in Cartersville, GA. One of my favorite uncles!! He was always fun loving and included me in he was interested in. I'll miss him. but I know by faith, I will see him again.
