William Clymer Obituary
Mr. William Robert Clymer, 77, of Browns Summit, N.C., passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Roanoke Medical Center in Virgina.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Brown Summit Baptist Church, 6000 Summit Ave. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert was born on April 17, 1948, in Greensboro, N.C., to the late William Eli & Pearl Ozment Clymer. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service following more than 35 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1971 and was a long-time member of Camp Herman Baptist Church and most recently Brown Summit Baptist Church. He demonstrated a strong faith in God in all he did including loving and caring for his late wife of 47 years, children, and grandchildren. Robert was very active in his church and enjoyed spending precious time with his family and loved ones. Robert is preceded in death by his wife Arleta; as well as brothers, K.C. Clymer and David Clymer. He is survived by his children, Christy Clymer Jones "Steve" of Greensboro, Jason Clymer "Annie" of Browns Summit, two grandchildren, Anderson Jones (age 18) and Lillian Jones (age 16), as well as nieces and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Forbis & Dick Funeral Service, North Elm Chapel.
The Clymer family is asking that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to an organization of your choosing. Please join them in making a donation in memory of Robert Clymer.
