In 1981, my then boyfriend now husband, made an appointment to see Dr. Cody, for me to have a Tubiligation, and he asked us both, "are you sure this is what you want to do, you're both so young?!" We had made up our minds, that this is absolutely what we wanted! He said, "alright, let's do this!" We thought about Dr. Cody over the years, and talked about how he asked us if this is what we wanted. Dr. Cody has a special place in our hearts. To the family, Stay Encouraged, he shall Not be Forgotten! R*I*P Dr. Cody!

God Grace is sufficient. Dr. Cody was an amazing Physician, Co Worker and Family Man. I often than of the fruit of the sprits when I think of all the interaction we have had over the years. " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control." In his presence you had his attention, respect and compassion. Quite and gentle never a harsh word. I will always remember that engaging smile. Love to the Family

Dr. William Cody: My Daddy Doctor in every essence! He loved me as I was his daughter by blood. I´m told he was that way with all his patients. Our SAVIOR, `JESUS CHRIST´, showed out when HE Created & Orchestrated this Gifted, Talented, Brilliant, Faithful, Humble & Priceless Gem as a Christian Doctor for all mankind. My Daddy Doc always wore his Crown of Integrity with all his patients. He is the King Doctor amongst all Doctors. He has made an everlasting & profound imprint on his Family, Church, Community and Country. Thank you, Mother, `Betty Cody´ & Family for sharing your dearest beloved husband, Father, Dr. William Lewis Cody, with us all.
I declare the peace of GOD over take each of you: respectfully, as you mourn the loss but live the legacy.
Gratefully,

Dr. Cody delivered me February 1992. I was one of the first babies he delivered. He filled in for my mom's actual doctor, because he was on a fishing trip. My mom has always told me he was so polite and kind while telling my birth story. He will be missed.

Dr Cody, came into my life when I was only 17 years old, he had just opened his new practice. My mom was pregnant with my baby sister, and he would always say you ladies were my first patients at my new office. I went on to have all three of my children with Dr Cody, and a hysterectomy. My baby sister had her son with him. He was always so good to us! Sending love and prayers to the Cody family! He was an amazing man and will be missed dearly!

Dr. Cody was my OBGYN for many many years. He delivered my daughter Christina Lavender back in 1995. He was also Christina's doctor when she was going through some medical issues a few years ago. I would not have trusted anyone but him to help her get through that issue. My daughter Christina was also the recipient of the Caroline Cody scholarship in 2013. It was because of Dr. Cody and her medical condition that influrenced my daughter to go to medical school to become an OBGYN. Christina and I were so looking forward to writing the Cody family a letter and inviting him and his wife to her graduation from Meharry Medical school in 2025. One of Christina's goals after graduation is to move back to Jacksonville to serve her community just like Dr. Cody. Our condolences and prayers go out to the Cody family. Dr. Cody, we appreciate you and love you for all that you have done for our family, your community and your patients. You will truly be missed.
Love Vera, Christopher and Christina.
