William Philip Covert

William Philip Covert, 78, of Cynthiana, KY, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Robertson County, KY on May 22, 1946 to the late Dan B. and Verlie McDowell Covert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Louise Covert Landrum; and his twin brother, Brooks Mason Covert.
Philip is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruby Alice Covert; sons, Phillip Patrick (Amanda) Covert, and Michael Quincy (Mariah) Covert. Philip also leaves behind six grandchildren, Cody (Stephanie) Landrum, Dalton (Abigail Allison) Covert, Dakota (Madison) Covert, Devin (Peyton Meyers) Covert, Dawson Covert, Melanie Landrum; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Landrum and Brinley Landrum, Reese Covert and Colten Covert; sister, Carole Minnix; brother, Danny Covert; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Philip enjoyed all things outdoors but especially loved fishing and could definitely tell some great fishing stories. He never met a stranger, was always quick with a joke or some tall-tale and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed good times with family and friends and never ceased to be a friend to all.
A funeral service for Philip will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service, 1:00 P.M. Bro. Paul Gray will officiate the service, and burial will follow at Battle Grove Cemetery.
