William Craig Obituary
William David Craig, 95, of West Chester, formerly of Zanesville, died at 1:10 P.M. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 24, 1929, in Zanesville, a son of the late William and Fern (Sims) Craig Sr. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Bill enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family, especially taking trips with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lea M. (Brewster) Craig, whom he married in May 2, 1987; a son, David (Susan) Craig; a stepson, Steve (Michelle) Schott; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a nephew, Rick (Linda) Caw; and his furry companion, Abbey.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Ann (Matthews) Craig; and a sister, Shirley Craig.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, 1475 Military Road Zanesville, with Pastor Andrew Wilson officiating.
