William R. "Bill" Cramer October 12, 1941 – December 16, 2025
William R. "Bill" Cramer, 84, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on December 16, 2025, after battling long-term complications from Parkinson's disease. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of deep faith, Bill entered into eternal rest having lived a life rooted in service, love, and unwavering devotion to the Lord.
Born on October 12, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Bill was raised in the Bedford area alongside his brother, Ken, who preceded him in death. He attended Bedford High School and proudly served his country as a United States Marine, an experience that shaped his discipline, work ethic, and sense of duty throughout his life.
Following his military service, Bill worked his entire career as a Union pipefitter with Local 120. Known as a hardworking, honest, and dependable man, he took great pride in providing for his family. Alongside his professional career, Bill and his family maintained a small farm in Jefferson, Ohio - a place where much of life's simple joys were shared.
Bill's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was deeply devoted to the Lord and to the study of His Word, finding guidance and strength in Scripture. An active member of the Church of God of the Open Bible in Bedford, Ohio, Bill faithfully served his church and community. He gave generously of his time and talents, helping organizations in need and participating in mission work, including traveling to Africa with his son and fellow church members to spread the Gospel and serve others.
Strong yet gentle, trustworthy, generous, and servant-hearted, Bill was always ready to help anyone in need. He found joy in tending his farm, gardening, welding, and sharing meals at his favorite restaurants -but above all else, he treasured time spent with his family, who were the center of his world.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia "Ginny" Cramer; his four children, Cindy Cloos, Susan Hefner, Debbie Allen, and Jim Cramer; as well as multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great joy and pride.
His life reflected the words of Scripture he lived by: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
Bill will be deeply missed, but his faith, love, and example will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
