Born July 17, 1937, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, to David Archibald and Eleanore (Murray) Cupples, William passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on July 10, 2025, just shy of his 88th birthday.

He proudly retired after 35 years with Wonder Bread, where he worked as a dedicated driver.

William was the beloved husband of the late Sharon (Piper) Cupples, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. He leaves behind his loving children; Carol Armstrong, Jim (Cathy) Cupples, Mike (Ann) Cupples, Sue ( the late Ken) Kruemmer; his grandchildren; Erin, Jason, Meaghan, Kayla, Jennifer, Sarah, Collin, and Allison; and his great grandchildren; Abigail, Liam, Brayden, Ayla, and Dylan.

He is preceded in death by his parents David and Eleanore, his beloved wife Sharon, and his cherished sons Bill and Bob, and his son in law Ken (Sue) Kruemmer.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038, beginning at 10:30 AM.

Those attending are kindly asked to line up at the main gate entrance by 10:20 AM.

William will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love for his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the American Lymphoma And Leukemia Society, the American Heart Association, or simply taking the time to plant a tree in William's honor.
